worst food I've ever had there! Service was awful and we didn't even get our drinks till we were almost done eating. Took almost 40mins before we even got our food. #feelingdisappointed

I would give NO stars if possible- never got waited on after 20 minutes and alerted hostess ....walked out... Worse Cracker Barrel ever.

Stopped here for breakfast on our way to the river. Hostess and waitress was very nice, food was good as usual. The kids of course had fun playing checkers and the table top game.

If I could give this place a half a star I would. The staff are just there. Not happy about it either. The food was not fit for my dogs. We left and went next door to Steak and Shake.

Food overall is delicious. My only complaint is that the side dishes were not even warm but the entrees were. In my opinion the serving sizes got smaller. The roast beef platter that's supposed to be like "pot roast" was just two pieces of beef covered with a bit of gravy. The beef stew had no meat in it but did after we got a fresh order. Our server Brandy was amazing and took great care of us.

Generally I have good experiences with CB's but this place has the absolute worst service I've ever experienced. I ate there today with my family of 6 and they brought our food out in FOUR phases over the course of the hour so we all ate at different times. What's worse is that each time the order was incorrect. My father never got his hash brown casserole and was told "we're awfully busy" as an excuse. What?!? It's a breakfast restaurant - of course you are busy at 9:00am on Saturday morning. I never received the blueberry muffin that came with my eggs. I asked three different waitresses and the hostess. Finally I caught a waitress coming out of the kitchen and sent her back in for it...she came back with a bran muffin so I just gave up. Only half of us revived hot food (when it was finally served) while the rest of us got cold eggs and bacon. Gross! :( We only got one coffee refill the entire time and it's only because we got up and asked a different waitress who happened to already have the coffee pot in her hand at that exact moment. Otherwise I'm sure we would have never gotten that either. My kids got their biscuits before the meals came but they forgot the jelly. After asking a few more times we finally got the jelly for their biscuits when the fourth and final round of food was served nearly an hour later. Now I'm not the type of person to complain to the manager but this time I decided it was justified. The manager made the same excuse of being busy and showed little empathy for the cold/missing food and poor service. They did agree to take a few dollars off the check (about 10%). That was a nice gesture but I didn't get the impression they had any desire to fix the problem so eat here at your own risk....

The food was ok, the service was horrible, our waitress was sweet but the people that brought our food ...rude! We waited 15 mins for our biscuits and fries after our food was brought to our table. I don't think I would go back.

Service was sloppy. Food was very bland and I wasn't happy. Waitress had attitude like hurry up already... Wasn't to inviting at all. Cook gave horrible low amount of sides and greens were mushy and bowl filled with liquid.

This is the worst Cracker Barrel that I have ever been to. The hostess was sitting guest in a manner and location in the restaurant that would make you feel unwelcome and secluded. The sampler that I ordered was piled all together on one plate. The fried okra was soggy due to being placed next to the green beans. The dumplings were piled directly on top of the country ham which tasted like pure salt. And the meatloaf was undercooked and cold. I would not recommend this particular location to anybody.

This was a great breakfast stop. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! Easy to find exiting the freeway. I enjoyed the gift shop & the restaurant.

Do not stop here. We've tried twice. They cannot handle volume. Today we've waited 38 minutes for two sandwiches. Last time 45 min and we left. Nice waitress but clearly kitchen and management are a mess. Even as they bus tables they leave debris in floor.

Have you ever had one of those days where you wish you could have made a series of completely different decisions? Well going to Cracker Barrel in Lake City was one of those. Their kitchen must have been having a bad day because I could see in the eyes of most of the servers that they were frustrated at the pace of things. For us, we had been driving for a pretty long time and were tired. Cracker Barrel is usually a safe bet so we chose it to grab a nice "safe" meal. When we got there the wait was reasonable to get a table but once we got to a table each stage of the meal had a longer and longer wait. One person in our group got the chicken and noodles which turned out ok. The rest was not so good. I got the special of the day which was cornmeal breaded catfish. It was very dark in color like old street bricks after decades of traffic. The inside of the fish finger had some white but blobs of grey and this brownish color that (for me) is not normal and didn't seem right. The coleslaw was good and ended up being most of my caloric intake followed by the cornbread. You may ask, why didn't I send it back? We had a timeline and I just didn't want to wait. I would not blame my server or the servers I saw running the show. They were hustling when things became available. Watching other tables, I am certain that we were not an isolated case since everyone looked frustrated. There was one tall slim female server who should be a be part of Cirque du Soleil based on her ability to carry un-imaginable amounts of items from the kitchen out to the waiting tables. I just hope that we were there on an off day. Cracker Barrel is a good company but this was just not a good experience.

Sunday afternoon, expect crowds. Service was chaotic with orders coming out wrong and the food incorrectly prepared. Server didn't check on our table of six often enough and we had to flag down other staff to get refills, etc. The kicker was finding a clear plastic lid from a to-go container tucked into the bottom of my glass of ice water which I had been drinking from all through lunch. Biscuits are good though. Thumbs down, no desire to return.

We stop at quite a few Cracker Barrels when we are on the road. On this trip, we needed a quick breakfast before heading back out on the road. One of the hallmarks of CB is that you get quick service and a consistent kitchen no matter which location you stop in. We stopped at this one in Lake City on a Thursday morning the week before Thanksgiving at about 9 AM. There was no wait for a table (a rare occurrence) and had a terrific server who took our drink and food order quickly. So far, so good. Our drinks came right out and were kept full. Awesome. It was then that we noticed that most of the people sitting around us (many who were seated before us) were not eating. In fact, very few people were. After 20 minutes our server came by and left a plate of complementary biscuits on our table and said "You look hungry and the kitchen is having a little trouble." So we happily started eating biscuits. Others around us started asking about their orders. The GM stopped by our table to ask if everything was going OK. I said, "The service is outstanding but I think your kitchen is probably a total disaster right now." He smiled nervously and made a beeline to the kitchen. I noticed that he popped his head out from the kitchen long enough to make note of our table number and was never seen again. We also noticed that our server had disappeared from the floor. Another 15 minutes later, someone brought our food out and we noticed that other's were beginning to get their orders as well. Another 20 minutes went by and our original server appeared and explained that she had to go back and cook food orders because the kitchen had had a "melt-down." So 5 stars for our all-purpose server with her excellent service (and cooking) and 1 star for the GM who needs some remedial help on restaurant operations.

/we stopped here on the way to Pensacola. We were served right away, however some of the other customers were a bit rude. But the meal took quite a bit to come out, and just as another reviewer noted the side dishes were cold. I received no more than what I asked for, however when I ordered the same thing (exactly) at the Crestview location, no only was the presentation better, but there was a side cup of coleslaw on the plate, which was a part of the description when I referred back to the menu. The server was not very responsive and did not check back with us.... I hope it was an off day for the location.

We stopped by here for lunch on New Year's Day and was pleasantly surprised after some of the negative reviews. All our orders came out hot and just as we requested. They served complimentary black-eye peas, which were yummy as well. If I am passing through again at meal time, I will not hesitate to come back!

We ordered the breakfast sampler (again) and pancakes. Both dishes were great, but the pancakes were excellent. Light and fluffy and lots of flavor ! Our waitress, Ms June is the best. Wonderful sense of humor and makes you feel like your being served right from her kitchen ! Can't wait to go back. This is our second time and location we've visited - seems to be consistent in look, feel and great staff ! Service and food has been excellent so far - an awesome find !

Might be the worst Cracker Barrel I've ever visited. At least half a dozen tables were left dirty for 20-30 minutes. The bathroom was a mess. Took 40 minutes to get our food and when it arrived, it was awful. My wife got a chef salad and it came with an egg I can't even describe. The waitress tried to tell us it was a deviled egg (not what comes on a chef salad) but the yolk mixture was oozing out of the egg. My daughter's fried shrimp meal had 3 shrimp, one shrimp tail, a piece of chicken and what I'm guessing is a hush puppy. Never again
